Success Report – Dyslexia and ADHD

"I was not surprised that my son was diagnosed as dyslexic in the fourth grade. The spelling was a complete disaster, not to mention the writing. He had absolutely nothing to do with reading. "He can't concentrate, is distracted by the smallest little things", I heard again and again from school year to school year.

Dyslexia lessons at school, to which he had to go, meant nothing more than filling in notes and doing swing exercises. With a dyslexia teacher whom we paid privately, he learned spelling rules..."    ---> continue reading

Success Report – Dyslexia

"When he entered high school, it suddenly appeared: "The dyslexic dragon". Except for a slight reading difficulty, nothing had been noticeable so far, and so we fell completely out of the clouds when, in the fifth grade, there was suddenly pure chaos regarding spelling. A test certified dyslexia and from then on J. had to take part in a supportive course at school, which was an additional burden on him. Spelling rules were practiced here until he dropped. There were exercises for at home and criticism, when... "    ---> continue reading

Success Report – Dyslexia and Learning

"I had searched the Internet for alternative therapies for dyslexia.

The reason for the search was my younger daughter L., who by now had almost completed the 4th grade and was finding it very difficult to read and write. Already at the beginning of the 3rd grade we had contacted the language advice centre with the following diagnosis: speech therapy was recommended, there was an auditory perception disorder and a reduced memory span. I also went to a... Client J. (9 years):  "...quite many... I can read better, I can calculate better, I'm more relaxed when I do my tasks."

Has something changed in your behavior?

Client J.: "If someone is annoying me, I'm calmer, and if someone is attacking me, I defend myself better."

And why do you think this is so?...      ---> continue reading

Success Report – Spelling and Reading Comprehension

"My name is Sophie G. I'm in the twelfth grade of a grammar school. I already had problems with my spelling in the lower classes, but this was not noticed because of my good oral grade in German. Another reason for the inactivity of my teachers was that only in the upper classes were credits deducted due to bad/lack of spelling. Now, when I entered the twelfth grade and got credits deducted in most subjects, my teachers told me that I had dyslexia and should do something about it. What I should do, they did not say..."     ---> continue reading

Success Report – Dyslexia

"Before we met Mr. Tzivanakis for the first time in summer 2008, I was sceptical...

My initial scepticism completely disappeared during our first meeting: Mr. Tzivanakis approached Felix very empathetically, playfully and unnoticed by Felix, he first managed to get an idea of Felix' reading difficulties. He then explained to us very precisely - in such a way that Felix understood him - at which points Felix' reading problems arise and through which exercises we can do something about it. Already the first exercises amazed me: Was that..."     ---> continue reading
